Vice President, Strategy and Concierge Medicine Tampa General Hospital
Experienced heart failure/transplant cardiologist and healthcare executive with a demonstrated history of progressive leadership responsibilities in top tier academic hospital systems. Strong record of program-building by establishing long term vision, developing effective strategies and ensuring successful execution. Established the Heart Failure Service at MD Anderson Cancer Center, co-developed the Cardio-Oncology Program and directed the Chemotherapy Cardiomyopathy Clinic at Cleveland Clinic Ohio, led and rebuilt the Heart Transplant/LVAD Program at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University, taking it from 0 to 25 hearts a year and 0 to 45 LVADS a year. Implemented and oversaw HF quality metrics and operations at UH’s 18 hospitals. Currently responsible for building and leading the USF/TGH HVI and Cardiovascular service line, with >600 team members, 8 COEs and over 30 programs. Member of the CEO’s Cabinet and hospital senior leadership team. Endowed Professor of Medicine and Division Chief at USF Morsani College of Medicine with over 150 publications, editorial responsibilities, extramural funding and national advisory positions.
