Yet another opportunity for you to join the process of helping our practice move into the 21st Century.

Governor O‘Malley has a bill before the Assembly and he needs support much like we do. The Governor supports our bill and nurse practitioners.

If ANYONE can attend either of these hearings and testify support for these bills, we will be building bridges and kissing babies J

The House Bill (HB 929) is scheduled for Thurs. March. 11th in the House Health and Government Operation Committee at 1pm.

The Senate Bill (SB 855) is scheduled for Tues. March 16th in Senate Finance Committee at 1pm.

The bill is named the Patient Centered Medical Home Program. It would allow for a "patient centered medical home." Through the insurance statute, would allow payment from insurance carriers to a medical home. Also includes a primary care practice or FQHC organized by a Pediatrician, Internal Med Doc, Family Med Doc, or Nurse Practitioner.

Letters of support sent to the Governor are also encouraged.

I will be testifying – in other words stating that the Maryland Coalition of Nurse Practitioners supports this bill - on Thursday. And would love to have company.

But I cannot make the Tuesday meeting. HELP?
