Happy Nurses Week!

Posted almost 8 years ago by Elaine Crain

Colleagues:

Today Governor Hogan will be signing HB66: Professional Corporations - Approval of Corporate Name by Licensing Unit and Professional Organization – Exemption – one of the bills MAAPC followed and supported in the 2016 General Assembly. While this bill may not affect you directly today, it may be important if you are thinking of opening your own business in the future.

Also for those who have recently renewed their CDS license in Maryland, I hope you noted that there is no longer a box for APRNs to check for supervisory/collaboration/attestation. MAAPC submitted a request to have the language removed last fall and are happy to see it removed.

We will be hosting a conference in October entirely dedicated to pharmacology. As many of you may know both ANCC and AANP are requiring more CEs in pharmacology to renew. This will be a convenient, low cost way to meet that requirement. I will send you dates, times and place in the next month or so.

As always, please consider joining your colleagues as MAAPC continues offering superior CE conferences and maintaining a presence in Annapolis to monitor legislative changes that may affect our profession.

Dr. Elaine Crain, MAAPC Communications Chair
