Posted about 11 years ago by Elaine Crain

Colleagues:

Lorraine Diana and I along with Shirley DeVaris, Board of Nursing, Sandy Nettina, NPAM, and Robyn Elliott, MNA testified in front of the House and Senate this week for our bill.

We think our presentations went well and now we are waiting for a work group to be set up so we can iron out a few details.

For more information; to read the text on line; and to see sponsors in the House and Senate, go to: Maryland General Assembly and enter the bill number – HB630/SB747. You can see our testimony for HB630 on line, next to "Committee" click on the camera and it will take you directly to the Hearing segment on that bill.

At our conference on March 14, we will have an update for you on the Bills’ progress so sign up today! We have extended early registration until midnight on Monday, February 25th and have been approved for 7 CE hours

Don’t forget our prizes for membership and conference attendance – a new Kindle Fire!

I humbly request you take a moment to visit our website, consider joining MAAPC, and donate to assist MAAPC to continue improving both Nurse Practitioner practice and that of our fellow Advanced Practice Clinicians.

Your roving correspondent in Annapolis,

Elaine
