Research: How both environmental and individual factors can contribute to positive nursing outcomes

Posted about 6 years ago by Elaine Crain

The Occupational Health Lab at Florida International University is conducting a study on the nursing work environment and would greatly appreciate your participation. We are examining the possible factors that may influence important nurse-related outcomes (such as safety participation) within the workplace.

By studying how both environmental and individual factors can contribute to positive nursing outcomes, this study can aid in the development of interventions or training programs for nurses to more effectively combat the negative effects of stress. In addition, organizations can use the results of this study to refine policies and procedures and foster workplace environments which promote the health and well-being of the nurses. After all, nurses are the cornerstone of our healthcare system!

Participation involves completing a survey, which takes no more than 25 minutes. The first 148 participants will receive a $5 Starbucks e-gift card upon successful completion of the study (including passing 4/5 validation checks).

To be eligible for this study you must be a practicing nurse in the US, above the age of 18, and working at least part-time (20 hours per week).

In addition, it would be greatly appreciated if you could pass along this survey to coworkers, friends, and/or family members who are also nurses.

The survey can be found by clicking on the link below:
