Federal update. Call to Action from the American Association of Colleges of Nursing

Subject: Call to Action: Urge your Representative to Cosponsor Title VIII Reauthorization

On Wednesday, January 23rd, our U.S. House of Representatives nursing champions introduced bipartisan legislation, H.R. 728, Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act of 2019.
 
As you may remember, while the House passed this essential legislation during the past two Congresses, the bill subsequently stalled in the Senate. With the introduction of H.R. 728 so early in the 116th Congress, we have a tremendous opportunity to pass Title VIII Reauthorization in the House even earlier this year, while working simultaneously to ensure consideration and final passage in the Senate.
