For the last 1O years, Dr. Barnes has worked exclusively with incarcerated populations. This experience has given her professional experience with disease state management and medication management of those conditions commonly found in this underserved population. Substance abuse, infectious disease and mental health disorders disproportionally affect incarcerated populations. Additionally, part of Dr. Barnes’ current position includes the medication management of 3 opioid treatment programs located in Baltimore and Jessup, Maryland.
