MAAPC & CBANACNS CHANGE MARCH 28 CONFERENCE TO A WEBINAR!

Posted about 4 years ago by Elaine Crain

We at the Maryland Academy of Advanced Practice Clinicians (MAAPC) and the Chesapeake Bay Affiliate of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (CBANACNS) are grateful for your ongoing support.

COVID-19 is a topic on everyone’s mind and with the intention of limiting the potential spread of this infection in communities, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention has made the recommendation to change all large live conferences and meetings to an online webinar or via videoconferencing.

As a result of this recommendation, we had to make a difficult decision today.  As healthcare providers who wish to set a good example, while helping to ensure the safety of our communities, we have decided to change our March 28, 2020 conference in Annapolis, MD from an in-person meeting to a webinar.

We will be recording the speakers presenting their slides, creating a webinar, and setting up access on our website.  Registration through our website and the cost remains the same. Once we have the program open on the website, you will receive a passcode to access the webinar, CE survey and certificate.

We have reapplied for on-line CEs from AANP and the webinar will be available on our website on April 3rd and will remain open until April 17th. According to AANP, viewers/attendees have 2 weeks to complete the webinar and the post-test for continuing education.

Looking ahead, we are optimistic that our next conference, Pharmacology Update 2020, scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD will be a live event, we will be sending you more information about that event this summer and we hope to see you there.

Should you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out as we navigate this new landscape that is influenced by the presence of COVID-19.

We thank you again for your support and look forward to continuing to work with you.
