Request for nurses and nurse support staff from Maryland Hospital Association

Posted about 4 years ago by Elaine Crain

As the state prepares for the anticipated surge in COVID-19 patients, the Maryland Hospital Association and the Maryland Department of Health established a new, coordinated system, MarylandMedNow, to support critical staffing needs at hospitals and alternative care sites across the state.

Alternative care sites could include sites set up on a hospital campus, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, etc.

An opportunity has arisen, and we are urgently seeking nurses and nurse support staff to screen, test, treat and deliver healthcare required to mitigate the disease and save lives. Your invaluable knowledge and skillset are essential in supporting the state as the number of COVID-19 positive cases increase.

Maryland Department of Health has partnered with the Maryland Hospital Association, B4Health, Allegis Global Solutions and several staffing agencies to address this expected staffing shortage. A recruitment website has been created where you can apply for a paid position at a hospital or alternative care site. To register simply provide your skill set, areas of expertise and preferences.

If you are willing to serve during this time of critical need, please go to www.MarylandMedNow.com or click here to sign up to join the fight against COVID-19 and to support communities across Maryland.
