Kyleen Davis is a dermatology-certified nurse practitioner with over 15 years of clinical experience. Over the past four years, Kyleen has worked exclusively at a private dermatology practice in the Washington D.C. metro area where she has gained significant expertise in the detection and management of nonmelanoma and melanoma skin cancers. In her current position, Kyleen works alongside renowned melanoma specialist, Dr. Gary Peck, and Mohs surgeon, Dr. Maral Skelsey, performing skin checks on patients with a history of skin cancer.
Additionally, Kyleen works as the associate editor for the Journal of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association. While working for the Journal, Kyleen has also authored articles on the topics of basal cell carcinoma and actinic keratosis, as well as managed a bi-monthly column on skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. She was recently awarded the "Mentoring Nurse Editors Award” by the International Academy of Nursing Editors (INANE). Previously, Kyleen served as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, School of Nursing and Health Studies, and coinvestigated a clinical research study at the Lombardi Cancer Center at Georgetown University Hospital.
This education activity has been submitted to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners for approval of 7.0 contact hours of continuing education (which includes 6.6 hours pharmacology).
