Happy National Nurses Week!

Posted almost 2 years ago by Elaine Crain

MAAPC members and followers,

The ANA designates May 6th through the 12th as National Nurses Week to honor the strength, dedication, and perseverance of nurses in the field.

Searching the web for themes, I was inspired by Helen D’Souza’s artwork and the words of Beth Wathen, AACN President-elect: Nurses are rooted in strength, forged in fire and growing in power. Rooted in Strength we create our new path forward as leaders in healthcare.

MAAPC’s Board thanks all of you for your dedication and compassion.

We also want to thank all those who wrote testimony in favor of our bills this session and who testified in person to keep APN and PA Practice unencumbered. Take a look at this year’s Legislative Platform

Beginning April 1, 2022, when you apply for a Maryland health occupation license or complete your renewal application, you will be required to attest that you have completed an approved implicit bias training course. Our Implicit Bias Training presentations meet the requirement .

Need a place to volunteer professionally? MAAPC is always in need of members to help us further our mission by working on our Legislative Committee, Communications Committee, Conference Committee, or as a Local Liaison.

Considering becoming a preceptor? Our student members can sign up for The Preceptor Pass for free and registering as a preceptor is free as well.

Hope to see you all in the fall for Pharmacology Update 2022, COVID willing,

Elaine Crain
