Dr. Jane Kapustin has been seeing patients with diabetes for over 35 years. Prior to joining Riverside Medical, she was professor and an assistant dean for advanced practice NP programs at the University of MD in Baltimore. She continued to see patients at the University of MD Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology (formerly Joslin Diabetes Center) as part of her faculty practice. She also had numerous years of service in primary care and women’s health before working at University of MD.
She is board certified as an adult NP and in Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM), has published over 50 articles and 15 book chapters, mostly in the field of diabetes, completed numerous funded research projects, and is a requested presenter for regional and national conferences. Dr. Kapustin is also a past president of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland (NPAM). She was inducted as a fellow in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Nursing.
