MAAPC has a special event that we are co-hosting with the Maryland Nurses Association and other nursing partners. Please join us on July 10 at 7pm for a virtual discussion with Maryland Medicaid leaders on the Healthy Babies Program.
The Healthy Babies Program is an innovative new program to improve health outcomes of new moms and newborns by extending Medicaid coverage to low-income, pregnant individuals regardless of immigration status. The program was established by legislation with the support of many nurses. As of July 1, all individuals who are pregnant will be eligible for full Medicaid coverage – somatic, behavioral, and dental – while they are pregnant and for one year post-partum.
Please register for this event held by zoom on July 10 at 7pm. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about how this coverage will work. And it’s a great chance to ask questions of our Medicaid program, who has been working tirelessly to put this program together.
