This announcement has 1 attachment:

See attached provider alert about a critical shortage of bicillin, which is anticipated to become a full depletion of stock by the manufacturer, Pfizer. The "stock-out" is not anticipated to be resolved until sometime during the second quarter of 2024. In the MDH Alert, which may not have been received by all RN/CNM/NPs, we provide CDC guidance on preserving inventory for treatment of pregnant patients with syphilis, and for neonates with congenital syphilis. Additionally, we encourage clinicians to call local health departments or us at the state, for assistance with patient testing and treatment information and for help getting pregnant patients treated if  providers don't stock bicillin or have run out.
