(MAAPC) (MACNS)

MAAPC is also offering on-line presentations that meet the requirements for new and renewing licensure.

CDS Requirement: Safe Prescribing of Opioids & Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023

These presentations meet Maryland’s 2018 requirement for applicants registering for new or renewing CDS registration (Safe Prescribing of Opioids) and the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023, and provide 6 CE hours of pharmacology for recertification.

Implicit Bias Training

Beginning April 1, 2022, when you apply for a Maryland health occupation license or complete your renewal application, you will be required to attest that you have completed an approved implicit bias training course. This applies to all “health care professionals” (physician, nurse, dentist, social worker, psychologist, pharmacist, health educator, or other allied health professional). You are NOT required to submit a certificate of completion for this training to your Board and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are NOT required, however MAAPC provides a certificate of completion if needed.
