Kate Rediger is a dually certified nurse practitioner specializing in Family Medicine and Psychiatry-Mental Health. She serves as the Associate Director for Quality & Safety in Psychiatry at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center, where she provides clinical care and oversees safety and quality initiatives across the psychiatric service line. This includes a 19-bed inpatient unit, a 12-bed partial hospitalization program (PHP), emergency department consultation, and medical floor psychiatric services.

Kate is deeply committed to expanding access to mental health care and is a recognized expert in integrating mental health services into primary care settings and acute care hospitals. Her work bridges gaps in care delivery and improves outcomes for patients facing complex medical and psychiatric challenges.

In addition to her clinical and administrative roles, Kate is an accomplished author. She has published numerous articles on integrated care in respected outlets, including Annals of Internal Medicine and The Baltimore Sun. Through her work, she continues to advocate for innovative approaches to mental health care and quality improvement in healthcare systems.
