MAAPC Future Nightingales Scholarship Exceeds Giving Tuesday Goals
The Maryland Academy of Advanced Practice Clinicians (MAAPC) is thrilled to announce that the inaugural Giving Tuesday campaign for the Future Nightingales Endowed Scholarship raised $5,545 from 11 generous donors, exceeding initial fundraising expectations and demonstrating strong community support for nursing education in Southern Maryland.
MAAPC is overwhelmed by this incredible show of support. These eleven donors have collectively funded more than two full scholarships, creating immediate pathways to nursing careers for deserving students.
The Impact of $5,545:
• Funds scholarships for four students at $1,250 each, covering approximately 25% of their annual nursing program tuition
• Provides critical financial support that allows students to focus on rigorous coursework rather than working additional hours
• Builds the endowment foundation, bringing MAAPC closer to sustainable, perpetual scholarship funding
• Represents a direct investment in addressing Southern Maryland's healthcare workforce shortage
Each scholarship recipient will provide care to hundreds of patients annually throughout their nursing careers, multiplying the impact of this investment exponentially.
