MAAPC welcomes Dr. Patryk Madrid to our Board!

Patryk Madrid, DNP, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner whose current clinical focus is providing medical care to veterans. He brings over 15 years of experience across diverse healthcare settings, including veteran-focused care, gastroenterology and hepatology, endoscopy, oncology, emergency medicine, integrative medicine, education, and military healthcare administration.
Dr. Madrid earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Johns Hopkins University and holds undergraduate degrees in nursing, kinesiology, and health sciences.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Madrid has a strong background in nursing education. He previously held faculty and teaching fellowship roles at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, where he taught health assessment, pathophysiology, and gastrointestinal-focused content, and contributed to the education and mentorship of advanced practice nursing students.
Dr. Madrid is actively involved in professional leadership and service. He is a member of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers (GHAPP) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). He currently serves as a Board Member-at-Large for the Maryland Academy of Advanced Practice Clinicians (MAAPC) and contributes to the Conference and Webinars Committee, supporting continuing education and professional development for advanced practice clinicians across Maryland.
Outside of work, Dr. Madrid enjoys reading comics, exercising, spending time outdoors, and being with his husband and their dogs and cats.
