New and Exciting Member Benefits!

Dear MAAPC Members and Friends,

I am writing to introduce 2 new programs the MAAPC is interested in implementing, and we need your help in making them successful. The first program is the development of an Expert Member Panel that will be available to Members. The idea behind this Panel of experts is that when challenging clinical concerns arise, you have someone to call and consult with. Please consider signing yourself up as an Expert for a particular area, or for a particular condition. For example, you could register as an Expert on Endocrinology, or just as an Expert on Diabetes. Having this rich network of colleagues will strengthen our practices and give our patient’s care the benefit of access to top-level information.

The second program will involve registering members as Mentors. As new Nurse Practitioners become licensed in Maryland, they are asked to give the name of an NP willing to serve as their Mentor. This opportunity will serve to link our members with new Nurse Practitioners. In this role, Mentors are asked to provide occasional guidance and feedback to new NP providers. Serving in this capacity will allow you share much of the knowledge you have earned through practice, and will work to strengthen our profession.
