Dear Colleagues,

The Maryland Coalition of Nurse Practitioners (MCNP) is pleased to announce that we are opening our membership to include all advanced practice clinicians.

We have officially changed our name to reflect this exciting news. We are now the Maryland Academy of Advanced Practice Clinicians (MAAPC).

The membership of MCNP voted this spring to include all advance practice nurses and physicians assistants in our association as full and voting members. This inclusion will apply to all Clin Specs, CRNMWs (Nurse Midwives), CRNAs (Nurse Anesthetists) and PAs.

The Coalition will be the FIRST in the nation to legitimize a trend that is pairing APN with PAs for educational purposes and legislative support.

Our website (www.mcnponline.org) is in the process of updating and will soon be www.MAAPConline.org. We have an updated logo and new colors. Our new email address is TheMAAPC@gmail.com.

We will also be having a Fall conference, focused on Pediatrics & Geriatrics with a leadership and legislation section.

• Time: 8am-5pm with, we hope, a cocktail reception to follow
• Place: Newton White Mansion, 2708 Enterprise Road, Mitchellville, MD 20721.
