An International Surgical Oncologist signs on for the MAAPC Fall Conference!

The Board Of MAAPC is pleased to announce that Dr. Robert Ord will be speaking at our conference.

Dr. Robert Ord specializes in surgical oncology of the head and neck. Most of his surgeries relate to cancer of the oral cavity, jaws, sinuses and salivary glands.  His ongoing interest in basic science and clinical research in head and neck malignancy has lead to chemoprevention trials for premalignant lesions. 

In addition, he lectures widely at national and international meetings.  He is an examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and The University of Singapore. 

He has published over 85 scientific papers, 25+ books chapters and co-edited Oral Cancer, The Dentist's Role in Diagnosis, Management Rehabilitation and Prevention.  He is the oncology section editor for the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, sits on the editorial board of the European Journal of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery, oncology section, and also reviews the Pan American Journal of Trauma.
