Finding a preceptor is tough and sometimes it’s just whom you know. Join MAAPC and connect with APCs who love students!

For women’s care/GYN, call your local health clinic, they often take students, the exposure to pathology and differing socioeconomic populations are career building, and the joy of changing someone’s life a bonus.
MinuteClinic is also a good place to check. They have many locations and can offer a great overview of urgent and primary care: https://jobs.cvshealth.com/page/show/minuteclinic-students.
Networking is another way to find preceptors – MAAPC has dinner meetings in Southern Maryland and Annapolis that are free to attend and are a great way to meet people. Join MAAPC as a student and you will receive invitations to all our events: https://maapconline.enpnetwork.com.
And remember look around you- who is your provider, your kids, your parents? That personal connection could turn out to be your best rotation!
