MAAPC welcomes Beth Baldwin to our Board!

Elizabeth “Beth” Baldwin has been a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, ANCC, certified for 14 years. She has her MSN degree from WV University. She initially practiced pediatric Neurosurgery for 8 years and since has worked in primary pediatric. She recently moved from her family farm in WV and to her new her new home on the eastern shores in the exciting beach town of Frankford Delaware. She is currently practicing at a small satellite FQHC clinic in Berlin Maryland, just outside of ocean city Maryland. 

She is immediate past president of the West Virginia Nurses Association and state nurses PAC.  Beth and her husband Larry enjoy a blended family of 9 children and 5 grandchildren. Beth enjoys gardening and politics.  She has participated in numerous speaking engagements on the Affordable care act and the importance of being a politically active nurse leader. She held several past governor’s appointed seat in WV including; WV Medicaid preferred drug prescribing, West Virginians for Affordable health care and the WV infant mortality review board.  In her role as policy leader she has coauthored the APRN state Sunrise application and has also assisted in drafting legislative proposals for WV APRN legislation. She has on numerous occasions provided expert testimonies at the WV legislature. She was a leader in the coalition of experts that passed landmark APRN legislation in WV to allow APRN for practice to the top of their certifications. 

Beth is very excited about starting a new chapter in her new home with the Maryland Academy of Advance Practice Clinicians. I am honored to have the opportunity to be mentored by such prestigious nurse leaders in Maryland and look forward to rolling up my sleeves to help as needed in my new home town in Maryland.
